Pregnancy & Perinatal Care

UNC Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program
We offer therapy to women during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Our program is designed to help those who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or unfamiliar and uncomfortable psychological changes associated with pregnancy, birth, loss, or fetal abnormalities.

To schedule: Call 984-974-5217 and follow prompts for new patients. Please specify whether you prefer to be seen in Chapel Hill (Vilcom Center) or Raleigh (Rex Hospital).

UNC Perinatal Psychiatry Inpatient Unit
The newly renovated free-standing Perinatal Psychiatry Inpatient Unit will provide specialized treatment and address the needs of women suffering with these serious mood conditions during pregnancy or postpartum.

To make referrals to the inpatient unit, please call the UNC Psychiatry Admissions Office at 984-974-3834.

Welcome to The Cove

The Cove Restorative Psychiatry & Wellness is an outpatient mental health practice based in Durham, North Carolina, consisting of two providers: a licensed clinical social worker and board-certified psychiatrist. All services are provided via telehealth, allowing us to serve adults throughout North Carolina. We provide a comprehensive approach to mental health care that may include medication management, psychotherapy, health education, physical activity, and social/community support.

We offer treatment for depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, interpersonal stress, life transitions, and more. We work with adults at all life stages, but specialize in working with women, graduate students, young professionals, medical professionals and their families, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
