Welcome to The Cove

Providing mental health treatment from a whole-body wellness perspective.

Our approach

The Cove Restorative Psychiatry & Wellness is an adult psychiatry and therapy practice based in Durham, North Carolina. Our practice is intended as a safe place for healing. This process is unique to each individual and deserving of a comprehensive approach that may include medication management, psychotherapy, health education, physical activity, and social/community support. We offer care for depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, interpersonal stress, life transitions, and more. We work with adults at all life stages, but specialize in working with women, graduate students, young professionals, medical professionals and their families, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

The Cove is 100% telehealth, which affords clients added flexibility and convenience to see their physician and/or therapist from the comfort of their homes. This means we are able to provide services to adults throughout North Carolina. However, due to the remote nature of the practice and the inability to monitor vital signs or complete recommended physical exams, we are unable to provide prescriptions for controlled substances (benzodiazepines, stimulants, or buprenorphine).

We do not want cost to limit access to mental health care. Therefore, we each currently offer a select number of reduced fee appointments. At this time, we are private pay only and do not accept health insurance.
